Unique Opportunity July 27, 2008

Hello all,

Rob C has put together a swim night for scouts who want to get their Second Class and First Class Swim test signed off. Please see the information below. Please note: This is the first Troop Meeting night in August and is during the Troop meeting time at an offsite location.

Time: Tuesday, August 5, 2008, 6pm until whenever we need it.

Location: The home of the “H” family from the Cub Scout Pack. They have a lap pool and have graciously offered to allow us to use it.

Special instructions: “It would be best if everyone would enter the pool area through the side gate rather than having everyone come through the house (east side of house near the garage).”

What to bring: swimsuits, towels, and your handbooks (so you can get the signoff when you are successful:) Also, read through these requirements and the swimming information ahead of time so you will know what to expect.

This is also a great opportunity to work on the swimming rescue requirement from Second Class requirement #7C, and possibly First Class 9C. But practice and be prepared ahead of time so that you are competent and proficient by August 5th.
